  I had pre-paid to rent a car for 2 days and when I showed up to pick up my rental, I kindly let the attendant know that I would be returning a day early. He told me that it wouldn't be a problem, I don't need to edit the return time online, and when I return, to check back in at the counter and they'll refund me for the day I didn't use. The next day I returned the car early and asked the attendant at the counter for the refund. She proceeded to tell me that she cannot refund me and that I need to call customer service on Monday and they'll confirm that I returned the car early. When I called on Monday (today), the customer service representative told me that he couldn't refund me due to the "pre-payment agreement." He said I should've changed my reservation myself prior to picking up, which I was going to do (and pay the change fee,) however, upon pickup, the attendant had told me that "the refund wouldn't be a problem." Had I been given the proper information when I first checked in, all of this would've been avoidable. Instead, I'm furious. I was either lied to or given false information by the attendants at this location. I was a loyal Avis member, but since the attendants here are either liars, or have no idea what they're talking about, I will not be returning. Good luck with this location, they cost me $200.
